A Plaid Cymru MS was put through his paces by students at a valleys comprehensive school.
Peredur Owen Griffiths took part in a Q&A session with pupils from Lewis Boys School which featured a variety of topics such as war in the Middle East, Senedd expansion, Welsh independence and funding for local government.
Peredur also got the opportunity to ask the students their thoughts on education policy and the 2026 Senedd elections.
The event was organised by The Politics Project which facilitates events between young people and politicians with the aim of fostering understanding, trust and relationships as well as delivering real change in communities.
Peredur said: “I thoroughly enjoyed my Q&A session with the pupils of Lewis Boys School. I was impressed by their knowledge and analysis of current affairs.
“The questions they asked were sharp and insightful and certainly kept me on my toes!”
Peredur said: “I want to thank The Politics Project for arranging this event. Speaking to everyday people has been one of my main priorities since being elected.
“Hearing the views, hopes and insights of young people is especially rewarding because they are often unfairly maligned or marginalised when it comes to politics. That has to change.”
