Speaking on the one-year anniversary of 20mph roll-out across certain roads in Wales, Plaid Cymru spokesperson for local government and transport, Peredur Owen Griffiths MS said:

“Plaid Cymru continues to support the principle of making our roads safer for our communities, which data suggests has been achieved since the default speed limit was lowered.

“A year on, it’s important that the Labour Welsh Government learns lessons and continues to review the 20mph policy – as a Plaid Cymru motion in the Senedd ensured – to see where the policy is working and where it needs tweaking.”
